Why is it that it is the people who are least willing to actually DO WORK that decide that they are going to have to voice their self-important arrogance because they need to, what? yes, be fucking important. no matter that they had the chance to participate in the process but chose not to. no matter that after the decision will finally get made that they will think about it for not a second longer while the people who put their energy, money, sweat and tears into the process will carry the burden of following through with the actions and will live breath eat and drink the aftermath.
from what planet of privilege do these people hail? where is the breeding place of academic audacity that is so extreme that someone feels that it is their freakin' birthright to voice their uninformed opinion and, in so doing, stall changes that are necessary, well considered, and MOST IMPORTANTLY that they could have been a part of except for the fact that they thought it beneath them to participate in the process until they could fuck it up?
seriously, what is it that produces in people the belief that it is at all OK to absent themselves from a transparent process and then claim that they have not had a chance to participate? because, really, they didn't want to participate . they just wanted to be assholes. and, while i am ranting, why is it that people think that the experience of one is applicable to the experience of all? "In my experience...." of course, you have had experiences and of course they have e/affected you. but for christ sake do you really think that your experience is more than a drop in the bucket? of course, it matters to you....but should we make (curriculum, assessment, departmental) policy based on your feelings about your experience??? seriously??? I mean freakin' SERIOUSLY!
there are people that should just have their heads pinched off. if you are unwilling to do the work, sit down and shut up. if you are unwilling to participate in the process, sit down and shut up. if you just want to be obstinate for no other reason than you think that you are important, sit down and shut up. if you are going to prevent the real work from happening because you get off on your own ego investments, please sit down AND SHUT THE FUCK UP!
