May I never again
* Let all of my grading pile up at the end of the semester so that I wake up on Sunday at 4:30 a.m. before finals week to frantically try to finish before finals come in.
* Lose my back-bone when it comes to late work policies so that even when my marathon ends, I still have more grading due to arrive.
* Believe that teaching a new prep the same semester that one is putting together promotion or tenure materials is a good idea.
* Say yes to writing book reviews (unless it is wonderful work by valued and valuable people....otherwise NO!)
* Feel as worn out as I do at the end of this semester (see above).
